Happy Birthday to me!

Wow I had a wonderful day at work today!  We celebrated my birthday! Look at this beautiful basket of goodies I got from my dear friends at work!  I love the colors and the baskets rim is so pretty! They filled it with mini pumpkins, Indian corn, decorative fall squash,  a plant in a nice tin planter complete with a bird in a nest, pumpkin candles, note pad, gift cards and gift certificates, Lotto ticket and the cutest scarecrow that sits on the edge my plants.

I had to laugh when I opened the card...it is one I made and gave to my co-worker Debbie last year in her card refill  pack for her birthday.  About 5 years ago I made her the cutest little lunch tin that held a variety of cards and now every year I "refill" it for her.

I feel very loved and spoiled to say the least., best news is I get to do it again tomorrow for my REAL birthday with my family!

CSALY#65 - Inspiration Challenge

This weeks challenge was as inspiration challenge. We were not to limit our creation to just the colors, but to take a look at the different elements such as the stripes on the pillows, the ribbons, the ornaments, fireplace, nativity scene, stocking, etc.

I used the pillow as my inspiration.  My card is very simple yet will make for a great card. All the layers running through the center of the card are popped up, which did add a little extra something to the finished card! Since is was a simple design I was able to make several in no time at all. It is 6 x 6 so there is plenty of room to include our family photo inside.

Be sure to go check out all the other cards made for this weeks inspiration challenge on the CSAYL Blog!  They are just WONDERFUL!  Now is the perfect time to get started making your holiday cards, I send or hand over 100 cards during the holidays so for me this year long challenge is so awesome, I wont be feeling the last minute crunch to get mine done this year at all!

CSAYL Gift Set Challenge #5 - Tag Holder

It's gift set challenge time again! This week's project is to create a "Tag Holder". A tag holder is fantastic pre-Christmas gift you can give to. The tags can be used as gift tags during Christmas. Another great idea is to add photos to the tags and you can give it as a Christmas card/mini album.

Papers, Inks and Ribbon are all Stampin' Up. I just love these designer papers from Stampin' Up I thought I would pair them with SU's Pacific Blue and Old Olive Cards stock. The lighting is off in the pictures but the color combo really does work well together.

Be sure to go check out the CSAYL Blog for all the other wonderful creations and for more details on this weeks challenge!
