Sketch Challenge #5 - 02-23-09

I loved this weeks challenge. Not only did we have a sketch to follow but we had to use the colors pink, blue and purple as well. I used SU Pacific Point, Pink Pirouette, and Elegant Eggplant card stocks and inks. I just love this Ho, Ho, Ho charm it is so cute!

Faith

This is a fun super quick card! I stamped the flower with a verse stamp. The center is a build a brad from Stampin' Up!, I used the same background paper for it. The word Faith was a bright silver, so I sponged brown Stazon ink on it to tie it to the brown in the card. I used my square scallop punch for the mat behind the flower. This is truly a ten minute card.

Papers are Making Memories, Image is from Stampendous, Card stock, ink and Ribbon is Stampin' Up!. Colors used are: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, and Whisper White. Ink Colors: Chocolate Chip Brown, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Old Olive, and Basic Black.

Blast From the Past!

I sat down today and made a handful of cards with my retired Stampin' Up! sets that I have not used in forever! I also used a package of Real Red DP that I had laying for a while as well. I stayed within the same color scheme for all the cards. It made for a quicker process that way.

Stationary Box

My friend Corrie sent me the link to a blog today the had a tutorial for this super cute Stationary Box. So I checked it out and fell in love with the idea. I was chatting with my friend Sue through yahoo messenger and she said lets make one right now....so up went my cam and we did it!!! The box holds 6 note cards, 4 mini note cards, 4 tags, 1 pen, 1 note book and a little pocket for postage stamps. I did a note book instead of an address book that was in the tutorial. I used 2 sheets of 12 x 12 DP from my stash and SU Natural Ivory, Chocolate Chip and Blush Blossom CS. I think this will make a great gift! You can find the tutorials here and here.

Decor Elements

I had gotten these flower decor elements months ago from Stampin' Up! and had yet use them. So today I thought I should play around with them. What fun It was! I also used rub ons from Stampin' Up! as well.

Big Fish Little Fish!

I made these ATC's last night. I can not decide which I like better the big fish or the little fish. Both are fun to make! I used Stampin' Up! punches to create the fish...Boho Blossoms, 5 Petal, Scallop and the 1 3/4" and 1 3/8" Circle. The card stock and ink colors are Pacific Blue, Kiwi Kiss and Tempting Turquoise. The googly eyes add a fun accent!

"Hello" Card

This is a fun and easy water color technique. Apply the ink directly to the stamp and mist with water then stamp on water color paper. I used Certainly Celery, Barley Banana and Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write markers. I am just loving my Top Note Die...makes for a nice easy layer to my card.
